Questions about travelling to Georgia

Do Ukrainian citizens need a visa?
No. Ukrainian citizens enter Georgia visa-free with an international passport and may stay for up to one year.
How do I get there from Ukraine?
The nearest airports to Ukraine right now are Chisinau, Warsaw and Budapest. We'll suggest the best route from your city to the airport, and the flight to Tbilisi is already included in our air tours. Flying from another city or country? We'll meet you at Tbilisi airport.
Is Georgia safe right now?
Georgia is a hospitable country used to visitors. During the tour the KOTE team works with your group: a manager, guides and drivers on the ground and in touch from arrival to departure.
How much money should I bring, and do Ukrainian cards work?
The local currency is the lari (GEL). In Tbilisi and Batumi Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost everywhere, and ATMs and exchange offices are easy to find. Cash is handy at markets and small cafés. How much to bring depends on optional excursions and shopping — your manager will advise for your tour.
What insurance do I need?
Since 2026 Georgia requires foreign tourists to have medical and accident insurance with cover of at least GEL 30,000 for the whole stay — the policy must be in English or Georgian and may be checked at the border. Medical insurance is already included in KOTE tours.
How much does a Georgia tour cost?
KOTE air tours start from €455 including flights, hotels, breakfasts, transfers, guided excursions and insurance. The price depends on dates, length and departure city — see each tour page for current prices. Prices are per person.
Where do flights depart from?
We fly from Chisinau, Warsaw and Budapest, which suits travellers from Ukraine as well as Ukrainians living in Poland, Czechia or Germany. Prefer another airport? Book your own flight and we will meet you at Tbilisi or Kutaisi airport.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. A deposit secures your place in the group and the balance is paid before the tour starts — deadlines are set out in the contract.
